Construction Katz

Dear Blog friends...

Yesterday we had an unexpectedly terrifying experience! Though it started like any other day...

Here's how it all played out...

At 7:30 AM, I Peaches, feeling rested after hugging the earth awoke to what I thought was a sunny morning...

I knew immediately, something looked, well, DIFFERENT outside...

I saw a strange contraption and a human other than Carol was crawling on it...

I heard Paprika's voice trying to get me to come away from the window but I never listen to her.

PAPRIKA'S OPINION
CURIOUS as all get out, I proceeded up the window till I could finally SEE....

Even I myself wondered about the strange loud sounds which were starting to worry me...

I took one last look before running and hiding under the covers (For the WHOLE DAY)

PAPRIKA THEN GAVE ME A LITTLE LECTURE:

IF ONLY I HAD LISTENED TO HER EARLIER...

Our human was terribly upset at our distress, not knowing the noises would be so loud bought us herbs and treats while we hid in boxes and under beds.  She said this is the last time it will be THIS noisy.

Well we would rather have done without this adventure. When our human came home we followed her around for hours, making sure she knew were were HERE and would not leave us with those other "construction" humans again.  Meow and Jeeez....

We were presented with "hard hats" and told we could wear them any time we wanted...but should we really have to have helmet protection in our own home?
How Happy do we look here, do you think?

Wishing you all a heckuva more peaceful weekend than WE had and a great Sunday.

  1. Seems like ear muffs might be better than hardhats, but you two sure are adorable wearing them. Peaches, we honestly cannot believe that you actually got up in the window to see what was going on. Very brave; even though, you ended up hiding. Thanks for hopping and sharing your adventure with us. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

  5. Oh heck! You had the wrecking crew in by the sounds of it, not the construction crew. Heres hoping next week will be back to normal, hard hat free Sunday! None the less, a lovely Safetywear Sunday Selfie!

  6. What a story! I"m sorry your peaceful day got all messed up. A kitty should not have to be scared in her own home, right? the hard hats are really cute though :)

  8. You look so pawsome in those hard hats! Construction is only good when it's over. We all know we kitties don't like change, and we don't like all that noise either.

  13. Poor little sweeties. And what a good reminder. I need to have the roof of my studio redone this summer, and I need to get Popoki ready for the disruption now, rather than later. Time to get planning!

  14. Mom Paula has put off some work in the house knowing it would stress us out. Eventually, it will need to be done, but only when she can be there with us. We hope you have peace and quiet now.
